It was a hiring event. We started with an intake interview where they asked for personal info. After that, there was another interview to talk about experience and some situational questions. The vibe was pretty relaxed, and the interviewer was really chill and nice.

First, there was a quick chat to go over the basics like criminal history, if you have a driver's license, and your reasons for becoming a nurse. They also shared some job details. Then, I had a virtual meeting where they wanted to hear about my nursing background. They asked about my professional aspirations, connecting it to the Chief Nursing Officer's QA learning plan. There were also some practical scenarios: how to manage a situation where a family is unhappy with a doctor's new orders, how to deal with an agitated patient, and what steps to take if a patient falls. The interviewer was quite nice and the overall vibe was relaxed.

The interview process was really smooth and professional. First, I had a phone screening, then an in-person interview at Humber River Clinic. The person interviewing me was respectful and clearly explained the job duties, the pay, and the orientation process. They asked about my nursing background, including my experience with wound care and IV therapy. They also asked about how I communicate with patients' families and how I juggle multiple patients at once. They also asked about handling medication errors and using SBAR for communication. Overall, it felt like a friendly and fair interview. They seemed really focused on patient safety, teamwork, and making sure the nurse felt confident in their clinical skills. It was a great experience for nurses looking to get into community or clinic work.
