It began with an initial HR call where we talked about my background, my experience with backend development, and why I'm interested in this job. We also covered my availability, what salary I'm looking for, and generally if I'd be a good fit for the company culture. After that, I had one technical interview. This session involved a mix of practical technical questions and a LeetCode coding problem of medium difficulty. The interview tested my backend fundamentals, my problem-solving abilities, and how well I could explain my thinking.

The interview had three rounds. First, we did DSA problems, Java OOPs, Collections, basic AWS services, common design patterns, and coded simple logic like Fibonacci using recursion and dynamic programming. Second round was about Low-Level Design where I had to build class diagrams, explain relationships, write modular code, and apply SOLID principles and design patterns. Third was a Machine Coding round where I had to implement a real-time feature like a parking lot or splitwise, focusing on clean code, modularity, error handling, and writing basic test cases.

I had a really good time interviewing at Papaya Global for the SDE2 job. They had everything set up nicely and ran it professionally. The recruiters got back to me fast and told me what to expect, making things easy and clear. The people interviewing me knew their stuff, were easy to talk to, and focused on how to solve real problems instead of just asking random questions. I liked that they focused on system design, basic coding, and practical situations for the job. It all seemed like a place with good engineering values and teamwork, and it gave me a great feeling about Papaya Global.
