Product Designer
The recruiter was great, but then ghosted me in the last round. When I followed up, they just said they needed more time. I never got a rejection email and only found out I wasn't considered by checking LinkedIn. The product design team was really rude and negative, the most I've ever interviewed with. Two senior designers seemed annoyed and antagonistic. I'm surprised the hired person would want to work with them. The hiring manager was a bit better but not very friendly. But I'd rather have unfriendly people than antagonistic ones.
- Can you describe your process for collaborating with different functional teams?
People Operations Manager
I interviewed for a People Operations Manager position about a year and a half ago. The 3-4 interviews seemed to go okay, but I was taken aback when asked, "How do you feel about working with all women?", especially coming from HR. About a week after my interviews with everyone except the CPO, I got an email saying they were changing the position to "Senior Manager, People Operations" and I wouldn't be moving forward. It seemed like the job description and requirements didn't change at all, just the title to "Senior", despite my 10 years of experience in SaaS startups, international work, and M&A. I'm sure they didn't mean to be discriminatory, but it really makes you wonder about their processes. On a positive note, the Director of Talent Acquisition (Jennifer) was great to work with and kept me informed.

Content Strategist
I was contacted on LinkedIn and went through two interviews. There were red flags in both, and after the second interview, I didn't hear back about next steps or get a rejection. Based on the red flags from the second interview, I decided the company wasn't a good fit, but they should have followed up since they initiated contact. The red flags included them calling the company a 'startup' when it's 13 years old, mentioning recent layoffs with the excuse that employees couldn't adapt (which employee reviews contradict), describing the role as a 'player coach' (meaning doing two jobs for one salary), repeatedly avoiding salary discussions, initially suggesting a lot of support for the role which turned out to mean being the sole writer with only researcher and product designer support, and inconsistency about the work arrangement (hybrid, remote, then in-office).
- Can you tell me a bit about yourself?
Sales/Marketing Manager
The interview process was great, with a clear vision and excellent questions and answers. The company seems solid and the team is highly motivated. The leadership I spoke with (a 30-minute phone call) appeared to be a great mentor, extremely dedicated to the team and the organization's growth, which is a rare combination. This individual really stood out. My first impression is that they would be great to work with! Since there wasn't an option for 'next steps' in the 'Offer or not' section, I've indicated 'accepted offer' because next steps are planned and we've mutually agreed.
