First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Pandora.
Software Engineer
I got contacted by a recruiter first. Then, I had a phone screen with the hiring manager, followed by two technical phone interviews. These were pretty straightforward. After that, I had the on-site interviews, which included five total interviews, with three being technical. The technical questions were medium difficulty, similar to Leet Code problems. My prep with Glassdoor and Leet Code helped me solve them quickly. The whole process was really smooth and everyone was very nice. The on-site interviews made me feel really welcome. There was a small issue where my interviewer for the second phone interview didn't show up. I let the recruiter know, and she apologized and rescheduled it for when I was available. It ended up taking four weeks to get a standard no-hire email from Pandora. I was pretty bummed because the recruiter had made it sound like I did great in every stage.

Software Engineer
Recruiter reached out multiple times about a Senior Software Engineer role on their tools team, thinking I was a good fit. I'd already responded, but they still emailed asking for my resume. Once I sent it, they said it seemed like I was looking for a New Graduate Role, even though my resume clearly shows over 5 years of software development experience. They kept pushing the new grad role, so I decided to disengage. It was frustrating to see recruiters contacting people blindly without reviewing their resume or profile, then asking nonsensical questions repeatedly.
- You're applying for a New Grad role, why is that?
Software Engineer
The interview process was super fast and really nice. My recruiter was on it with scheduling, and all the people I interviewed with were awesome. I had a great time chatting with them and would be happy to work with them. First, I had a recruiter phone screen that was mostly behavioral. Then, there was a technical phone screen with an engineer from the team, done on Codebunk, focusing on DS&A. The final interview was with the technical manager and included both technical and behavioral stuff. Overall, it was a really pleasant experience.
- They asked Leetcode easy questions, with some follow-up on clarification and Big O.
