First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Pandora.
Campaign Specialist
The interview process was pretty standard. I got an email from the department recruiter asking for my availability for a phone screening. After that was done, we spoke a week later about my past experiences, next role expectations, salary, etc. Soon after, the recruiting coordinator reached out to me to schedule an in-person interview for the following week. I went in and met with four individuals (two in-person and the other two virtually) for about 30 minutes each. I felt the interview went extremely well, especially since I even brought in examples of my past work to seal the deal. Later that same day, I received an email followed by a call from the recruiter extending an offer.
- If your previous employers had to describe you with a song, what song would it be and why?
Campaign Specialist
About 3 weeks after I applied, HR reached out via email to check if I was still interested, local, and okay with the offered pay. Then, a recruiting coordinator scheduled my interview for a few days later. I spoke with four people in total: first two associates, then two managers. The chat with the associates was all over the place; it lacked structure and they repeated questions or circled back to ones they'd already asked. My advice: they should get organized beforehand to know who's covering what. They also seemed unsure about how marketing and advertising integrate. After that, I had to wait about 10-15 minutes for the managers. This part was pretty standard. The senior manager asked more questions and seemed genuinely engaged with my responses, plus she had a positive vibe.
- What is your motivation for applying to this role?
Campaign Specialist
I had a quick chat with a recruiter first, then went in for a 1.5 hour interview at the office. I talked with two Senior Campaign Specialists and two managers. It felt more like a conversation, discussing my background and asking about the job. They offered me the position the next day.
- Why are you interested in this Campaign Specialist position and Pandora?
- What improvements would you suggest for your own user experience?
