Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Pandora.
Intern
Applied early and heard back in two weeks. Had a phone call interview with the recruiter about introductions, school, and past experiences. She said she'd contact me within a week about qualifying for the next round. Took 3 weeks to hear back, and it was a phone call saying the role was filled. The recruiter was nice, but I would have preferred to hear back within the week about not getting the internship. It seems like they only hire interns from prestigious colleges.
- Could you introduce yourself?
- What is your interest in Pandora?
- Can you tell me about your resume?
Intern
The interview process felt really unorganized. I applied for an internship in their NYC office, but during the phone interview, they mentioned needing me in California, which was confusing since I applied for an NYC internship. The interviewer said they'd proceed to the next interview if I was okay with relocating. I asked for time to consider and emailed them within hours saying I was willing to relocate and wanted to schedule the next interview. After another follow-up, I didn't hear back for weeks. Then, I was told they had selected someone else. It felt unprofessional to suggest moving forward and then not proceed.
- Could you discuss your past internships?
Intern
I applied online and then didn't hear back for like 6 weeks. Then recruiting emailed me asking if I had time for a quick phone chat, which I did. After that, there was a phone screener, and then I got an invite for a bunch of 1:1 interviews onsite. I was given the names of my interviewers ahead of time, but my schedule changed the day before. Overall, it was pretty standard compared to other places I've interviewed.
- What makes you want to work for this company, and what do you hope to gain from this role?
