So first there was a take-home task that was LLM-related, so you gotta know your NLP and LLMs. Then we had some standard quant questions and you gotta do the take-home task well and be able to talk about it. Oh and they also walked me through my resume.

It was a really nice interview process overall. They're looking for knowledge of Python and SQL. Everyone I spoke with was super friendly and direct. I really appreciated that they were open to giving feedback about the interview process. Wishing them all the best.

There were two parts, the first was mainly quizzing me on a machine learning paper they sent me to read. This interviewer didn't seem to care about anything about me aside from the paper and what was on my resume. The second interviewer was friendly and we had a nice personable conversation. He told me he enjoyed speaking with, suggested I'd be a good fit for the position, and told me they'd get back to me shortly. They did not get back to me at all.

Technical Presentation

It was a really good experience, actually better than most places I've interviewed. They sent over some academic research papers for me to review, and then we talked about the details in the papers. Mostly, they wanted to know how well I understood the main ideas and if I could spot the main assumptions and any potential weaknesses in those assumptions.

Confirmed questions4 questions
  • Can we discuss the details of the research papers you reviewed?
  • How well did you grasp the main concepts presented in the research papers?
  • Were you able to identify the critical assumptions made in the research papers?
