First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Pampered Chef.
Email Marketing Specialist
The interview process had multiple steps, but I appreciated the fact that I was able to meet so many coworkers throughout various facets of the company. After an initial phone call, I was invited to schedule a zoom interview with my now supervisor. Once this step was completed, I was promptly invited to schedule an in-person visit to headquarters where I went through a pretty lengthy but insightful series of interviews that were highly conversational with various coworkers who were very welcoming & had answers to all of my questions as well. Once this was finished, I scheduled one final Zoom call with Terry, the CMO, and once this round of interviews was finished, I waited about 1 week before receiving the job offer! All in all, everyone seemed genuinely interested in me as a person even beyond my work background & calmed any nerves that I had going into each step of the process. Lastly, I truly appreciated everyone's flexibility with scheduling each interview. Considering I was interviewing with Pampered Chef while maintaining my previous full-time job at another company, everyone seemed happy to work with my schedule even during odd hours & evenings which was greatly appreciated!

Purchasing Manager
The interview process was completely mismanaged. It started with a phone screen, then an in-person interview, followed by three additional team interviews that weren't mentioned beforehand. The role kept changing three times during the process, from Purchasing Manager to a different title with different responsibilities, which was a huge red flag. After all the changes and interviews, they asked for an Excel assessment and a demand planning assessment. They said they'd get back to me in a week but then ghosted me, not responding to emails or calls when I tried to follow up. I wouldn't recommend applying here if you don't want to deal with a poorly run company that doesn't know what it's looking for.

Marketing Communications Manager
the entire process, everyone I met was very nice, but I did do a total of 6 interviews for this role and I obviously made it to the near final or final round and then I was never emailed that I did not get the position. It is totally ok if someone was a better fit but after 7+ hours of interview time and consistent emailing with the recruiter, it felt very rude to just be totally cut off. I have no problem not being hired, it happens, the interviews were fine, though 6+ is too many interviews, but please just inform people if you are not moving forward. That’s just common curtesy.
- Can you describe your communication style?
- How do you work with other teams?
Security Engineer
The first step was a phone interview with the recruiter. It was about 10 minutes long. The recruiter started with HR questions, asking things like if I needed sponsorship to work in the US, even though that was already answered. They also asked about compensation expectations and for a description of a recent work win. They seemed rushed and didn't seem to appreciate detailed answers. When I asked about the team structure, the recruiter gave incorrect information about the hierarchy and the number of team members. They also mentioned the role was previously filled but has been vacant for a year. When I asked for clarification, the recruiter was rude and seemed eager to end the call. It felt like they didn't enjoy their job and just wanted to finish quickly.
- Basic HR questions were asked during the initial phone screen.
