& Process

I was contacted by a recruiter for a position. The interview process involved three stages: first, a call with the recruiter, then a round with the hiring manager, and finally a meeting with the director where we talked about my background and how I'd fit the role.

It was pretty straightforward. It was mainly to see if you're friendly and have a clinical background plus the ability to develop sales/marketing relationships. You meet with the Director and the Assistant Director. Sometimes you'll also meet with the hospital CEO.

I got a call about 6 weeks after applying online and the job was already gone. I was really hoping to try something new with this role, so we set up an interview for 9 AM. She even texted me to confirm the time and place. When I got there, the receptionist asked for a last name, which I hadn't gotten on the phone or in the text. I said I was there for an interview and waited while she checked. A few minutes later, she said the person I was supposed to meet had me down for 10:30 AM. I showed her my text, and she saw it said 9 AM. She let the manager know, and I was told someone else would conduct the interview. This manager, who had only been there 4 months, couldn't answer some questions about the company or benefits. The whole thing was under 15 minutes. I'm bummed because I was interested in a change, but not with this company. I would have turned down an offer anyway. It's not surprising I haven't heard back.

Applied online and then got a call for an interview the very next day. I met with the CEO and Director, and they wanted to move forward, saying I just needed to interview with Corporate. The following day, I had a video call with Corporate. Then I was called for another interview with the VP. She was three hours late calling me back and conducted the interview while I was driving (very unprofessional). After that, I was ghosted with no callback or reply to my emails, even though they said they'd contact me in a few days. The Corporate team didn't seem genuine. When I asked the VP questions, her responses were terrible, almost as if she was trying to scare me off, which worked. I never heard back from them anyway. They should clearly state the exact qualifications they're looking for and not waste candidates' time.
