Had a few interviews with different people in the lab. It included a phone interview. The first interview had technical questions, another was about projects I'm interested in, and a third one asked about my strengths and weaknesses.

The interview consisted of 3 1:1 in-person interviews with the PI, CRC, and Head of Research. The whole process took about 3 weeks from the interview date. It wasn't a super stressful interview experience; it was quite professional and one of the smoothest ones I've had.

The interview itself went well, it was a one-on-one with the Principal Investigator, and by the end, I felt pretty confident about getting the job. I got the offer via email from PAVIR a week later. However, the actual hiring process was quite cumbersome because it's affiliated with the VA. It took two and a half weeks from the interview to the job offer, and then a lengthy three months for the background check to clear.
