First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Palo Alto Networks.
Customer Success Manager
The interview process at Palo Alto Networks was a great experience from start to finish. Although it took about a month for them to initially contact me after I applied, the rest of the process only took 2-3 weeks until the offer was finalized. The Talent Acquisition team was very good about sharing feedback from the interview panel and making sure I felt good about the offer. I was excited to accept the offer and start my career there.
- Can you tell me about a time you dealt with a challenging customer?
Partner Success Manager
A recruiter from Palo Alto reached out via email about a Senior Partner Success Manager role, asking me to apply and mentioning my lack of direct partner management experience wasn't an issue, even though I have the required experience. After applying, the interview coordinator set up a meeting with the hiring manager. I did really well with the hiring manager, who then arranged for me to interview with two more team members that same week. The recruiter then told me I had five more interviews, with the last one being with the hiring manager again. I passed the first two interviews. However, my third and fourth interviews had no-shows. The coordinator rescheduled them for the next week but didn't apologize for the wait. They also mentioned the final interview with the hiring manager would be delayed until after I spoke with the two people who missed their initial interviews. Later, I got an unprofessional email from the recruiter claiming the hiring manager was upset about me not showing up for an interview and that I wasn't a good fit. I explained that I didn't miss any interviews and that the coordinator rescheduled them, and that the hiring manager interview would happen after the rescheduled ones. Over a week later, the recruiter emailed again stating I wasn't a good fit and lacked the necessary experience. On the same day, the recruiter called to congratulate me on a job offer from the hiring manager. I was surprised and told the recruiter I didn't want to work for a company that disrespects candidates and seems disorganized. I concluded that the Palo Alto Networks work environment might not support professional development or leadership opportunities.
- Can you describe a time you managed a difficult partner?
Customer Success Manager
I was initially contacted by HR who was super helpful and encouraging. After that, I went through 4 more interviews, with the last one happening 2 months ago. Since then, I've heard absolutely nothing about the role. I've tried emailing and calling the HR person but got no reply. My application status in Jobvite used to say 'In Process' but now the link has expired, so I can't even check that. I'm assuming I didn't get the job, but it's really unprofessional to leave me completely in the dark after I put so much time into the interviews.
