Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Palm Beach Tan.
Sales Associate
The interview wasn't too hard. They asked about my age and sales experience. I had to sell a pen to the manager and tell them my available hours. It took about half an hour. They mentioned that our pay would be based on commission.
- Could you try to sell me a pen?
- What hours can you work?
Sales Associate
The interview process was quite straightforward. They inquired about your biggest strengths and weaknesses and your approach to working with team members. It's noted that they often prefer candidates with more flexible schedules, though this can vary by location. Smaller branches might hire more part-time staff with limited hours compared to larger ones.
- Could you share your main strengths?
- What do you consider your biggest weaknesses?
- Describe how you collaborate with your coworkers.
Sales Associate
Applied in person on a monday, she asked if i could come in on wednesday for an interview. They were super easy questions and really fast interview. It took like ten minutes. I didn't get the job because I go to school in a different state so I'm only home for summers. The first interview was in the store just on the couches. Second interview was in the corporate office which was annoying because it was a long drive downtown. That was also with just one woman and it was about 5 minutes because it ended early when she realized I'm leaving for school.
- Describe a time you dealt with a difficult customer and how you handled it.
- Which job did you like the least and explain why.
- How many different uses can you think of for a bobby pin?
