After passing the initial screening, candidates go through a 15-20 minute panel interview where they answer 4-6 questions. Candidates are expected to use the STAR method for their answers, which cover topics like communication, team building, and instructional and operational expectations. The actual interview questions aren't the issue; it's the internal politics. Positions are often pre-determined, making the interview a mere formality. It's a waste of time unless you already have an inside connection. A recently retired administrator even brought this up at a board meeting, speaking privately to avoid repercussions.

You apply online. Then, you call the school you applied to and ask if the position is still open. If not, you repeat the process with another school. It's highly recommended to visit the school in person and hand them a paper resume. After getting a job offer, you'll need to complete a lot of paperwork and submit it to the central district office.
