It was a really good and thorough process, overall a great experience! The talent acquisition team made it super easy, especially considering the difficulties with coordinating things during the pandemic. What's rare these days is that I actually got feedback and pointers throughout the process. I had a couple of other offers on the table, and the way the interview process and the TA team handled everything was a major factor in me accepting the offer from Pall.

Saw the job posting online and applied directly on the company's website. Had a phone interview with a recruiter from Pall, which was a bit odd since they were from another state. Waited a few days for the hiring manager to get the results. The hiring manager then requested an onsite interview. I went to the company a week later, only to find out I was just starting the process when two other candidates were already close to a final decision. The newly hired HR person promised a follow-up within 24 hours. After a week with no response, I emailed them. A few days later, a recruiter from Ranstad Engineering, whom I had no prior contact with, emailed to inform me I didn't get the job. I emailed the HR person about this Ranstad Recruiter and the conflicting information, but received no response. The HR department seems disorganized with misleading hiring practices, broken promises, and a lack of follow-up.

I applied online and the recruiter contacted me within hours to get my availability. I provided a few time slots, and the recruiter called me as scheduled on the day. The call was mainly a brief chat about the role and what they were looking for. They asked me why I was seeking a new position and about my salary expectations. It seemed to go well overall. The recruiter mentioned she'd follow up within a week after getting feedback from the hiring manager. A week went by with no word, so I emailed her for an update. No response came in the second week either, so I emailed again. Still no response. It felt unprofessional; if they weren't interested, a simple 'no' would have been appreciated instead of leaving me hanging. People invest time, money, and energy in preparing for interviews.
