First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Palfish.
Curriculum Specialist
It was pretty straightforward and professional. They just went straight into asking about my actual experience and how I see things. They hardly asked about personal stuff or my characteristics, which was different from other places. Also, they were helpful if I didn't understand something.
- What's your approach to getting a new program off the ground?
Policy Analyst
The interview was in two phases, first online then in-person. The online part tested my skills, and the in-person part had me facing a panel of policy and programming experts. They asked about my readiness for the role's duties, my leadership skills, and my educational background.
- Did you have prior experience in policy and programming?
Talent Acquisition Specialist
This was the worst interview experience. The interviewer kept cutting me off and moving to the next question before I could finish my answers, making it feel like they were trying to pressure me. The job postings for this company are vague, not specifying required skills or years of experience, which led me to believe it was open to recent graduates. However, the interviewer asked very specific and detailed questions, as if I had many years of experience. It was very disappointing.
- Describe your process for sourcing and hiring a consultant.
- What are five key attributes you assess in a candidate, and can you elaborate on each?
Online ESL Teacher
I had to download their mobile app and complete the application, which included uploading my passport, qualifications, and making a voice recording. During this process, I was interrupted, and when I got back to the app, they had already rejected my application without providing any reason. I'm concerned about why they rejected an incomplete application and what they're doing with my personal documents like my passport, especially with the risks of identity theft these days. I regret applying and trusting them with my information.
- Could you describe your previous teaching experience?
