I saw a job ad for an unarmed security officer on Craigslist and applied online. I went to the local office for an interview, and they gave me two site options. A day or two later, I called back and told them which site I preferred. They then told me I had to come in for a drug screening and a background check. After the background check was done a few days later, they told me I needed to have another interview at the site I wanted to work at. They didn't tell me this during the first interview. At the second interview, they asked me if I had any previous experience or training in hand-to-hand combat. This is for an overnight patrol officer job checking on utility company sites. The job ad didn't mention anything about this requirement. The following week, I was informed I didn't get the job. When I asked why, they said it was because I didn't have any hand-to-hand combat experience. If you apply for a job here, make sure you know EXACTLY what the requirements and expectations are for the site where you want to work during your initial interview so you don't waste time pursuing a position that you don't have the right experience for.

I submitted an application on their website with my resume, making sure to include dates, employer names, and job responsibilities. After submitting, I had to do an AI interview and then a written assessment. Finally, I got a phone interview with the hiring manager.
