First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Paladin Security Group.
Security Guard
It was pretty simple and straightforward. I went to a job fair in Vancouver, the Mega Job Fair by PICS. Paladin Security was there, and after chatting with their talent team and they considered me, they called me in for an interview.
- Can you tell us about yourself?
- What made you choose a Security Guard role?
- What's the primary duty of a Security Guard?
Security Guard
The interview lasted about 25-30 minutes. Initially, they asked for an introduction and then posed some behavioral questions. They inquired about any planned long vacations within the next six months and if I could manage walking 15-20 km each day.
- What drives your interest in becoming a security guard?
- Can you tell us about yourself and why you decided to apply for this role?
- Could you share an instance where you experienced failure?
Security Guard
The interview was conducted over the phone and they asked me several questions. Everything seemed to go well, but in the end, I didn't have Canadian experience or references. I spoke to someone who was recently hired, and they mentioned that a former employee had referred them to the employer.
- Do you have any prior security guard experience in Canada?
- Can you provide any references?
