They were posting a lot of ghost jobs before their layoffs, then they lied about it and only admitted it later. Some of my interviewers asked me for referrals after the interview but before the layoffs. I'm referring to the layoff where the CEO quoted MLK.

Applied online, and the interview was scheduled for a week later. On the actual interview day, it got rescheduled to the following week via a quick message that had typos. When the rescheduled interview day came, the recruiter didn't show up until I messaged them after waiting 5 minutes on the call. The recruiter didn't have the job description handy, so it took them some time to get oriented, and the interview started more than 10 minutes into the scheduled 30 minutes. The recruiter seemed distracted throughout, and asked me the same question twice. I wasn't given an opportunity to ask any questions. I got the vibe that something was off, like maybe the role was already filled or on hold. It felt very unprofessional, and I felt my time wasn't valued. I put effort into preparing for interviews, and it's disheartening when the recruiter lacks basic professionalism like being on time and knowing the role. It's understandable if a position is filled or if interviews need to be rescheduled or canceled, but I still expect a professional approach. The handling of the interview was quite disappointing and left me with a negative impression.

I started with a chat with the recruiter, then I had another chat with a Director. The first one was pretty chill, nothing too heavy. The second one was more about the tech stuff and how I handle managing people.
