The interviewers were nice and easy to talk to. They gave me some tasks and asked different types of questions. I got feedback fast after the interview, and if I got the job, it only took about 2 weeks to start.

Behavioral Presentation

The interview process had two stages, both in-person meetings with the hiring manager. The first was a casual chat to get acquainted and review my CV and experience. The second involved a PowerPoint presentation about my first 90 days in the role. I got good feedback through the agent after both stages and thought I was doing well, but unfortunately, no offer was extended. I was surprised because both parts seemed to go well, but the company is apparently very strict on salary, unwilling to hire good people at 'high' wages, and I think they're mistaken if they believe they can attract good talent with a low salary. My advice: if your salary is non-negotiable, state it upfront. It's disrespectful and unprofessional to get candidates excited and waste their time only to disappoint them later. Is this how you treat your clients?

It was an okay interview, but they never followed up after promising a meeting. I wasn't really looking for a new job anyway, so it's not a big deal. The role was found through an agency, not directly. I tried to follow up with the agent, but I'm not sure if it was the agent or the company that messed up.

I had a take home test where I had to scrape data from the web, specifically financial data. The task was to be done using Python, and how I implemented it was up to me. I actually liked the task, but I decided to pass on the company because I found better opportunities elsewhere.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • The task involved scraping an API, which was fairly straightforward.
