Assistant Professor of Nursing
For the interview, you'll need to give a presentation or teaching session on a topic you choose, and then present it to the department faculty. Afterwards, they'll ask you questions about your background and what you can contribute to the department.
- Given your lack of prior teaching experience, what is your strategy for excelling in this role?
Instructor
The interview process included a panel interview with the department chair, faculty, and staff. There was also a panel interview/meet-and-greet with current students in the relevant major. I had one-on-one interviews with select faculty, the department chair, the President of the College, the Academic dean, and the HR director. Lastly, I gave a lecture/presentation to a large (50+ person) class.
- How do you plan to integrate faith and learning into your curriculum?
Professor
It started with a phone chat, then I met with the President, Academic Dean, and other higher-ups in person. After that, I had a meeting with the department chair and other faculty members in the department for individual chats. Then, I gave a presentation about my expertise to all the faculty and anyone else interested. Finally, I taught a class period that I would be teaching if I got the job.
- How will you balance research with a full-time teaching load, which sometimes includes extra classes?
Front Desk
Students would apply the last quarter of the year for the next up coming school year. There would be an interview process where all of the dorm deans, the head RA, and the assistant head RA would ask you questions.
- If a friend entered the dorm drunk, would you report them?
