First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Pacific Scientific Energetic Materials Company.
Mechanical Assembly Technician
Back in 2019, the interview was a group setting with 4 candidates talking to 4 company managers about their skills. It's kinda funny that in 2026, only one of those managers was still around.
- What would you contribute to enhance the company's financial performance and overall work environment?
Compliance Lead
I had a virtual interview with the director and the controller. One was a behavioral/situational interview, and the other was an informal chat about my goals and objectives, how I like to work, and what energizes me. The whole thing took about 30-45 minutes.
- Can you describe a process improvement you led that had a lasting effect, detailing the crucial success factors and the actions you took?
Test Engineer
The interview for the explosive test engineer intern role was great, the interviewer was super nice and very understanding. It was pretty straightforward and didn't require anything too demanding. I'll be signing with them.
- What are your skills that will contribute to this position?
Engineer
This was a college recruiting process and the questions were basic, directed at students, and related to their resume, past experience, and projects. They also asked about where I see myself in 5 years. It was a shorter interview than others I've heard about for full-time positions, but this is probably specific to the internship process.
- Can you describe a recent project and what your contribution was?
