First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at P. J. Dick-Trumbull-Lindy.
Intern
I had an interview that lasted about an hour with a group of employees. They asked me some pretty standard questions about myself and my resume. It was over zoom, and thankfully, I got the job, so I think it went pretty well.
- Can you tell me about any courses you've taken that are relevant and would help you succeed here?
IT Systems Administrator
So I went into this interview, right? It was supposed to be an intro interview, just a quick chat, no tech stuff, according to the recruiter's email. But when I got there, it was a whole different story. I was in a conference room with four people, like, the CIO and some project managers. And the IT person started grilling me on how I'd fix their actual technical issues. I was so caught off guard because I was prepped for a basic meet-and-greet, and they told me the technical part would be in the second round.
- What prompted you to leave your previous position?
- Describe how you would address the technical challenge we're facing with a third-party archiving system.
Project Engineer
It was a pleasant interview process. The company is small but growing fast and the employees were very nice and understanding. They really cared about finding the right fit and weren't pushy. There were two rounds: first to meet the team, then to meet the supervisor/president.
- What else interests you about this company?
Superintendent
Got an email from HR for a video interview. Did that with one of the presidents and they moved me forward. Then had an onsite interview with the team to check for mutual fit.
- Tell me about your background.
