Software Engineer
The interview process felt really ego driven and not pleasant. The interviewers started off seeming nice, but then they were trying to one up each other on who knew code better. They talked over each other and weren't encouraging. They also weren't able to adapt their questions for a junior level candidate.

Marketing Specialist
I applied online and got a call for an in-person interview at their HQ two days later. The interview went well, I met with several managers who seemed receptive to my background. They mentioned they had to wait for their director to get back from vacation before proceeding. About a month passed with no response, even after I sent two follow-up emails. I continued my job search. Later, I got a rejection letter via mail from HR, which I found to be a waste of time and poorly written. While the interview itself was pleasant and the company culture seemed good, their hiring and HR processes need significant improvement to be more considerate of candidates' time.

Sales Counselor
I got a call from the company after I applied online. The Training Manager set up the interview at their main office in Farmingdale, NY and told me how to get there from Brooklyn. It was a bit costly by train and cab but not too hard to get to. The main office is right next to a huge warehouse. Everything was really neat and tidy. The staff was nice and friendly. While I waited for my interviews, I looked around and saw old pictures and stuff showing how long the company has been around. My first chat was with the Training Manager, who was super friendly and positive. We talked for about half an hour about me, the company, what a Sales Counselor does, and how much money you can make. I already liked the company as a customer, so I knew they were doing well. He explained the pay: a $1000 every two weeks to start (which you pay back from commissions), plus unlimited monthly commissions (after the initial $2000 draw is covered), bonuses, and prizes from vendors like Bose and Samsung. They also offer health insurance and a 401(k). The draw is now $2400 a month. The job is supposed to be 5 days a week, at least 50 hours, but it goes up to 6 days and 60 hours during busy times like summer and holidays. You could always work more days if you wanted to, especially if you weren't hitting your draw in 5 days. They said you could make $50k, $60k, $80k, or even $100k if you were really good. It sounded great. The second interview with the trainer was shorter but also made the opportunity sound really good. I was sold. I accepted the job right away.
- What was the toughest question about your previous job?
Sales Associate
The interview is mostly about your previous sales experience. It's a one-on-one with a corporate trainer and it's a very easy-going process. You also need to take an integrity test and submit to a background check. Try to get placed in one of the busy stores to increase your chances of earning. Ask them which stores are the best.
- What's the reason you left your last job?
