I got referred by someone who worked there already. I had three in-person interviews. They called me within a week and I could start right away. The first interview is normally with the manager, and the second one is with the portfolio director. I always try to be 15 minutes early for my interviews because, in my opinion, being on time is already late. It was a bit frustrating when my interviewer didn't even say hello until 10 minutes after our scheduled meeting time. But after working in this field for a bit and at that specific property, I get why that might happen.
