First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Oxford Road.
Programmatic Media Buyer
So, for a Programmatic Media Buyer role, I'd say the skills they're looking for are more on the technical side than strategic. I had a referral, but after the first interview, they just ghosted me. Then, for three months, recruiters from different companies kept bothering me about the same job, and they never followed up. My friend who used to work there said it was a nightmare, which I'm not surprised about given my experience.
- Do you know CM360?
Marketing Manager
I had a quick chat with the recruiter first. Then they asked for my portfolio. After that, I had a second interview with two team members. I sent a thank you note the same day and followed up a week later, but never heard back. Really disappointed with Oxford on this; wish they'd just give a clear answer instead of leaving candidates hanging.
- How do you manage when things get chaotic?
Business Analyst
The interview process was managed by a third-party recruiter and consisted of 3-4 rounds with about a week between each. The job description was really unclear, and I don't think they were sure about it themselves. After the second interview, a recruiter called to say they couldn't negotiate salary and asked if I was okay with the cap. During the next interview, the hiring manager brought up salary again, implying I should be thankful for their offer and downplaying my experience. One interviewer hadn't even seen the job description and had no interest in me getting the role. Ultimately, I was told they went in a 'different direction,' which made sense given their uncertainty about the ideal candidate. The whole experience felt disorganized and a bit unprofessional.
- Can you describe a typical "bad day" at work?
- Tell me about a challenging day you've experienced at work.
Data Scientist
It was quite long. I had to first take an hour-long skill/knowledge test on statistics, media and coding. Then there were meetings with the the director and two other analysts individually for interviews in different aspects. The one with the director was the typical one with self-introduction and description of projects that I'd worked on. The session with one of the analyst was about solving some case scenario and some riddles/brain teasers, while the other one was like a casual talk as a personality check.
- Can you name three consecutive days without using the names of the days of the week?
