First, I had a call from a headhunter. Then, the headhunter scheduled another interview with someone from OwnerIQ. The person from OwnerIQ specifically mentioned it would be a technical interview, so I prepared by reviewing the job description. However, no technical questions were asked during the interview. Instead, I was asked about my current role and past experiences. This was disappointing because I felt I couldn't effectively demonstrate my qualifications for a technical position without technical questions. Perhaps they have other ways to assess a candidate's capabilities. Another odd thing was not receiving any email or confirmation about the interview. When they're not interested, they don't follow up with feedback, which seems rude.

Behavioral Presentation Other

I was really let down by this company. I did two phone interviews with their National Sales Manager. Then, they had me do a presentation of a 30/60/90 day plan and asked me to share my contacts in the industry. After that, they flew me to Chicago for in-person interviews. It was a few hours long, and the NSM told me I was their top choice and that they'd offer me the job. The next day, I got a verbal offer and we talked about start dates. I submitted my background check, and they contacted all my references. I was told they were finalizing the written offer and I'd get it by the end of the week. But then, the day before the offer was supposed to come, they called and said they decided to go in a different direction. It felt pretty shady, especially since I had a verbal offer. They also made me pay for my flight to Chicago upfront and said they'd reimburse me, which I'm still waiting on. Super unprofessional.

I got referred by a Talent Retriever recruiter. The interview was good, the people were fun and seemed interested. I talked to 4 people in total for about an hour and a half. First one-on-one, then two at a time, and finally the director. I felt it went pretty well. But what really soured me was the no-show on the decision. Neither the team nor the recruiter (who ghosted me after I asked about the decision, probably because no commission) told me anything. The director I emailed directly never replied. Shows how much they value guests.

A recruiter reached out to me, and then I had a great call with the hiring manager. They really wanted to know about my current book of business for the territory they were hiring for. After that initial phone screen, I went into the office and met some of the sales team members. Everyone was really nice and answered all my questions about working at OwnerIQ.
