Financial Analyst
I had an interview with the hiring manager. I asked if I had any questions about the role. The interview was quite cold, likely because they needed someone who could “hit the ground running” and I come from a different industry. Would have been better If candidates were shortlisted based on their requirements.
- Do you have any questions about the role?
Customer Service Representative
Had a few interviews, first with HR over the phone, then met with different leaders in person. It was a pretty standard process, just gotta make sure you know what they're looking for in your answers. They were pretty fast from the last interview to the offer, and the offer was fair.
- Can you share an instance where you had to handle a challenging customer situation?
Project Manager
It was a pretty long process with four interviews spaced out over about a week, but it was good because I got to meet the people I'd be working with and for, and even some of the higher-ups. I really liked that I had the chance to ask leadership about the company's future and where things are going.
- Can you describe a situation using the STAR method?
- Please share an example where you applied the STAR format.
Software Developer
Had an initial chat with HR about my background and the job details. It was a really friendly and straightforward screening. Then I talked to the manager I'd be reporting to. Seemed like a good fit, I think we would have gotten along. The discussion was a bit more technical, but not like a test. The final interview was with the team I'd be working with. No major concerns came up. They mostly asked about my previous projects.
- How do you approach solving problems? Can you tell me about the most challenging programming task you've faced?
- Tell me about a difficult programming assignment you've had.
