I had two phone interviews initially, one with an Ovation HR person and another with the account manager. After that, I had an in-person panel interview with the client and managers from Ovation. It felt pretty formal and straightforward. I was a bit nervous about the panel, but honestly, I ended up liking it more because it gave me a clear idea of who I'd be working for and with. Then, I met some of my future colleagues and got to see the office space where I'd be working.

HR reached out to me about a month after I applied online. We had a brief phone call where they asked me a few questions. Then, I was invited for an in-person interview with the VP of Marketing. It was a good and interesting meeting. They introduced me to the person whose job I might be taking over so I could get a better idea of what the job entails. It seems like a company that likes to promote from within, so I think the job security is probably good. They reacted positively when I showed them my portfolio. I followed up twice via email with the interviewer and once with HR, but I never heard back from any of them. I thought this was pretty rude given that I took the time to interview and even put together a small slideshow to go along with my application. It would have been basic courtesy to at least let me know I didn't get the job.

I saw a recruiter's ad on LinkedIn and connected with her for a phone screen. After that, I interviewed with the VP of HR, which went well. The same week, I had an interview with one of the partners, and that also went really well. There was a big delay getting a decision because everyone was traveling a lot, and in the end, I found out they hired someone from inside the company. Ovation seems like a great travel company, and it's cool they promote from within. They probably have a good culture.

I had a phone screening first to see if I was qualified. Then I had an in-person interview that was pretty casual. Right after, HR called with a job offer, but it was less than what I was told on the phone. I turned it down unless they would pay the amount agreed upon. They called back a few minutes later and I accepted the job at the higher salary.
