Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Ovation Property Managment.
Leasing Agent
The interview process was very impersonal and easy. They didn't ask many questions about me, mostly just my background from past jobs. They said they would follow up with me, but they never did.
- Can you tell me about your previous employment history as we look at your resume?
- Walk me through your experience at your past jobs.
Leasing Consultant
It was a short interview but they asked a lot of questions. They really focused on my time management and how I work. They also asked about my past experience in the industry and how I'd deal with tough client situations.
- Are you able to work in a company that is heavily reliant on paperwork and reports?
Leasing Agent
I interviewed with one manager. After that, I took a drug test. They hired me the next day. I regret leaving my previous job. I was let go from that job because of an emergency.
- What qualifications do you possess for this role?
Assistant Property Manager
I got to my interview a bit early and was greeted by the leasing staff. The manager I was supposed to interview with then told me they weren't actually hiring for an assistant manager at her property, but for another one. After asking me a few questions, she decided to call her boss so I could meet with her. I stepped out while she made the call. When she returned, she informed me that the other position was filled too, but they did have a Leasing Consultant job available at a different property. This whole thing was a massive waste of my time. I have experience as an Assistant Manager and worked my way up to that. Calling me for a manager interview just to try and get me to interview for a leasing role is an insult! I'll never apply to this company again.
- Can you tell me about your past jobs?
