First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Outten & Golden.
Legal Assistant
I found the gig through a recruiter. Before and during the interview process, I had to do a computer skills online assessment. After the first interview, which was on-site, they called me about 2 weeks later to set up a second on-site interview. I didn't go to the second interview because I had already accepted another job.
- How would you handle working with a demanding, no-nonsense attorney?
Legal Assistant
I had to come into the office three separate times. The first visit was about an hour with the HR coordinator. The second time, I was there for about two hours for some testing. The third time, I was tested for an hour and a half, and then met with the HR manager for about forty-five minutes. They mentioned they were hiring for two positions and that the job would be permanent, with a lot of overtime emphasized.
- How do you handle attorneys with difficult personalities who might demean or yell at you?
- Are you willing to run personal errands for attorneys?
- Are you able to commit to extensive required overtime hours?
Litigation Paralegal
The interview process was pretty simple. I was able to answer all the questions easily because of my paralegal knowledge. I also got a good amount of time to ask about the company, the role, and anything else I was curious about.
- What motivated you to apply for this position at our firm?
