Business Analyst
The interview process was way too long, chaotic, and poorly handled, especially for a company that's supposed to be good at HR. It started with an online application and some screening questions (took about an hour). Then there was a 30-minute screening interview. After that, I had to do a couple of personality and analytical tests which took around 2 hours. Next, I interviewed with the Manager for an hour. Then I sent a thank you note. They also asked for work samples, which took another 2 hours. A second interview followed, lasting an hour. Another thank you note. Then, I had to complete a work exercise (2 hours). Then a third interview (1 hour). Another thank you note. They asked for more work samples (1 hour). I had to fill out a reference request tool (1 hour). Finally, there was a panel interview with the management team (1 hour). And one last thank you note. This doesn't even include the time spent just setting up all these interviews and responding to their requests. After all that, they decided I was overqualified. It's weird that a talent management company wouldn't figure that out sooner. Even after deciding I was too senior, they still sent out reference requests, wasting my time and my colleagues' time.

Business Development Manager
I was contacted by a recruiter on social media and had an initial chat with them. Then I did an online assessment. After that, I had a call with the hiring manager. They asked for references, and four of mine filled out a form. I was supposed to meet with a sales leader but ended up speaking with the HR Director instead because the leader was unavailable. The hiring manager sent me a social media request late on a Friday, making me think I had the job. The HR Director called me on Monday afternoon, and I thought it was an offer call, but they said they were looking for more qualified candidates. The whole thing took about two weeks.
- What's your approach to managing an underperforming sales representative?
Content Marketing Specialist
I put in my application online and heard back a few days later by email. A talent specialist wanted to chat, and I picked a time for the next day. The interview was a video call on Teams, and the invite came by email. We talked for a bit about the job and my past experience. After three questions, the interviewer cut me off. It felt really abrupt and rude, especially since I was in the middle of speaking. I guess I didn't say what she was looking for. She just said I wasn't a fit. Honestly, if that's how Outmatch treats people, I feel like I dodged a bullet. I had done my homework, checking out their website, videos, and social media to get ready. I had to rearrange my schedule and take time off work for this, only to be told right away, “you are not a match”.
- How does your background fit with this role?
Partner Success Manager
One of the smoothest interview processes I’ve been apart of. The Director of HR updated me on where I stood and next steps immediately after each interview. All around an excellent experience. There was a phone screen with HR, followed by a Personality & IQ assessment, then a phone screen with a C-Level Exec and VP, and finally an on-site interview with a Senior Manager and C-Level Exec.
