Behavioral Technical

First, I had a phone chat with HR about my behaviors. They asked standard questions like 'tell me about yourself,' 'what's your weakness and strength,' and 'why do you want to work here.' Then, I interviewed with a project manager where we talked about my skills. I didn't have to do a presentation, but I heard that's sometimes part of the process.

Behavioral Technical

I went through three rounds of interviews, only to find out two weeks later that they laid off 25% of their staff. I never received any feedback from the recruiter afterward, so I can only assume they were let go too. How are they doing third-round interviews if they can't cover payroll? Feels like I dodged a bullet with that one.

Got a call from HR, she asked me some questions first. Then an engineer from the team told me about the work and asked me questions. In the second interview, a director from two teams asked me questions about battery systems. I also had a quiz on basic circuit knowledge.

Presentation Behavioral

This was a deceptive hiring process where I felt like I was used for my data. For a company that's received so much investment, they should be ashamed of how they treated me. They had me prepare a presentation for the final onsite step. I did my best without any original data, but during the presentation, it became obvious they just wanted my forecasting models. I pretended not to know everything, which I knew would hurt me if it was real, but I still showed my skills. I didn't give them the formulas or sources just in case. The more they pushed for my models, the more it seemed like they just wanted a data mule. They didn't even schedule a real interview during that visit. The team that reviewed my deck was harsh and critical. They expected a perfect deck for their own meeting and kept asking for my models and data afterward. When I didn't send the info after the visit, and they hadn't given me an offer or any update, they said the role was frozen. Next time, hire a consultant instead of exploiting a new grad who worked hard through school.
