First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Our House Senior Living.
Cook
It was a group interview, and we all got asked the same questions. They also explained the policies to us. We were introduced to the other staff and residents, and I also met the director and team leads.
- How would you handle specific scenarios and case by case situations?
- Can you tell us a bit about yourself?
Resident Assistant
I applied on Monday and got a call back that same afternoon. They had me in a group interview by Thursday. I got offered the job on Friday and started the next Monday. It was super quick, they only called one reference and even offered me the job before he could even reply. I think they knew they wanted me after the interview and just went through the motions with the reference check.
- What's your biggest strength you'd bring to the team?
- Can you describe a challenging situation from a previous job and how you managed it?
- How would you handle a disagreement with a coworker?
Resident Assistant
I submitted my resume and was asked to return in an hour for an interview. I came back a little early, about 50 minutes later, and had my interview. The interviewer was really nice and helped me relax, which is great since I'm usually awful at interviews. They offered me the job right then and there and had me complete some paperwork. Now, I'm just waiting to start my training.
- When you're asked to cover for someone else, what's your initial reaction? Do you jump in, or do you say it's not your responsibility?
- What consequences do you believe someone who is consistently late or frequently calls out should face?
Resident Care Assistant
I applied in person and they interviewed me right away. The director was really nice and I got the job offer on the spot. The interview was simple. It took about a week from applying to get the offer.
- Can you tell me about the best food you've ever cooked?
