Fuel Operations Coordinator
The recruiter reached out on LinkedIn a couple of days after I applied to set up a phone interview. I gave them my availability, and they picked a time. They messaged me less than 5 minutes before the call to reschedule because a meeting ran late. I rescheduled for the next business day at a time they chose. I got ready for the call, but they never actually called. I followed up on LinkedIn but got no response.

Account Specialist
It was a great process where they reached out to me for this position, which was different from what I'd applied for. I had a 2-hour interview with 5 people. We had a great conversation, and I discussed why I was excited for a chance to do a new role other than sales, as I hated my last sales position. Then they ghosted me for a few days, called to ask if I wanted an opening on their sales team even though I was explicit about not wanting sales, and then sent me an automated email about not moving forward with my application.
- Why are you interested in working at OTR?
Account Coordinator
First, there was a 20-minute phone call with a recruiter. Then, I had one in-person interview which consisted of a chat with the training manager and an account manager, followed by a 20-30 minute shadow session with a senior account coordinator. The final part of the in-person interview was a conversation with one of the upper-level executives. I received a call back within a week.
- What are your long-term career aspirations?
- Given the sensitive nature of financial discussions with clients, how do you handle emotionally charged conversations?
Product Team Member
The interviewers were nice, but it seemed like there wasn't a clear long-term vision for the company. I wasn't sure what my specific responsibilities would be beyond just doing the job. It felt chaotic and unfocused. One interviewer left mid-interview and never returned, and another was clearly unprepared because they were brought in last minute. Even though I got positive feedback, the interview just stopped suddenly. The reason given didn't make sense with what had happened, and they ghosted me when I followed up.
