Account Management
I went through five rounds of interviews, then they ghosted me and stopped responding to all emails or messages. I would have been fine being declined, but after a two month process being completely ignored is totally unacceptable. Do not waste your time with them.
- Can you describe your experience?
Reporter/Researcher
I applied for the job, even though my resume didn't show one of the required skills, I figured I had other things they might be looking for. Within a few hours, I got an email to schedule a phone interview for the next day. It turned out to be a total waste of my time. The interviewer was nice, but she told me that because I lacked the specific knowledge they needed, I wasn't a good fit. It made me wonder why they'd even set up an interview if they could see from my resume that I wasn't a match. It felt like a waste of time, and I would have rather not heard back at all than spend time preparing for an interview only to be rejected quickly for something they could have seen on my application.
- Can you discuss the major factors that will influence the mining industry in 2019?
- What is your experience with conducting interviews?
Reporter
I sent in my resume and was contacted by HR. After the first interview, an editor got in touch. The editor interview was about an hour long. About half of that time was spent explaining the company and how it operates, and the other half was about my experience and my plans for work hours (full-time or part-time). I was asked to submit work samples and then given a test assignment that took about a month to complete. After that, I was hired. The company was very communicative and responsive throughout the entire process, which was excellent.
- Tell me about your experience as a reporter.
- How much time can you commit weekly?
Sales Representative
It was super straightforward. First, a phone interview, then a final in-person one. They asked quite a bit about who I am and some personality stuff. Everyone was really nice and seemed happy to help.
- What are your hobbies outside of work?
