Technical Behavioral

The interview process for the Gen AI Engineer role at 3k softech private ltd. was quite disheartening. It started with a recruiter call and a good first technical interview, but the final stage with the team lead was really tough. I mentioned Pune as my preferred on-site location, given their Bangalore and Pune offices, but they kept pushing if I was refusing to relocate to Bangalore, which felt like a veiled threat to end the process. The technical questions were more about testing patience than actual problem-solving. I was asked to create a 'basic' chatbot to convert SAS code to PySpark, even though my resume doesn't cover these technologies. When I couldn't access API keys, the interviewer suggested DeepSeek and then asked me to code a multi-agent chatbot project from my resume. The whole interview felt disorganized and unsupportive, leaving me drained after over an hour. It was a difficult and discouraging experience, and I hope this helps others avoid similar time-wasting situations.

The interview process was very quick and unprofessional. I wasn't given or asked any solid information. The director who interviewed me spoke down to the staff. The entire experience felt rushed and unfriendly, and they weren't punctual without any apologies.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

Companies sometimes start with a screening interview to see if you have the right qualifications, or they might do an open interview where they talk to many candidates at once. A phone interview is common to narrow down applicants, especially for remote roles. Some jobs need a skill assessment to check your technical abilities, like a grammar test for writers. The first in-person interview is usually one-on-one with the hiring manager to discuss your background and experience. The second interview might be with the same person or a whole day of interviews with different staff members, getting more in-depth. A third interview is less common but involves meeting current employees. You might also have a lunch or dinner interview to assess your social skills. A background or credit check might happen at some point. Finally, if you pass, you get a job offer with terms, pay, and benefits, which you can negotiate before accepting or declining.
