Technical Behavioral

The interview process was pretty standard, with a manager and an executive doing a virtual interview where they asked a mix of technical and soft skill questions. What was a bit weird though were some of the super specific M365 questions they hit me with, like asking about the exchange server data size limit (who actually knows that offhand?) and my opinion on them getting rid of .pts file access. Honestly, my background pretty much checked every box on the job description, even the preferred ones. I was kind of surprised I didn't hear back with any feedback after my phone call with the hiring manager and the virtual interview, but I guess that's just how they do things.

Technical Behavioral Presentation

The interview process involved two rounds. The first round was somewhat technical, covering basic questions about Excel and Power BI, along with some behavioral questions. The interviewers were friendly and discussed the company culture. The second round was with an executive and consisted mostly of behavioral questions.

Behavioral Other

I had the interview via phone screen. The interviewer discussed the position. Instead of being the full time position, I was told it was a contract position. This is a complete bait and switch. My qualifications were not discussed. After the phone screen, I was promised I would hear back next week. I heard nothing back. I was ghosted. I was not given any feedback. I believe there was actually no position whosoever. If Otak is supposed to be a good place to work, it was not conveyed to me during the interview. If this is how they run interviews, I can only imagine how the firm is run - which may be bad. People should not waste their time applying for positions at Otak. They are a complete waste of time because their career opportunities are fake.

Had a phone interview with the recruiter for about an hour, which seemed to go okay. Then, I had an interview with the hiring manager that lasted between 45 minutes and an hour; that also seemed fine. After that, there was a 2-hour in-person interview. The first hour involved the hiring manager and some of the current team members. The second hour was a one-on-one with the CIO. I never heard back from anyone, so I'm guessing they went with another candidate and it didn't go as well as I thought.
