Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at OSU Cowboy Dining.
Front of House
It was a really simple group panel interview. They had employees interviewing people, getting direction from managers. It didn't take more than an hour or two. I was required to go to the venue in person multiple times for training, and I wasn't told about this beforehand.

Front of House
They stand outside on campus and pass out flyers and tell you the time to come to their office. They then bring you in for a personal interview and a group tour. They all sit around and ask you a bunch of basic questions like your year and major and so on. They hire pretty much everyone. They put the girls on the floor and guys in the kitchen unless you specifically request otherwise.
- Which kitchen utensil would you be if you could choose, and why?
Suite Attendant
I had 3 interviews but they were all quick. You have to meet with the assistant manager, manager, and the regional manager. Once hired, you are given a desk and told to get to work. There's no formal training or step-by-step guidance, but they'll help with small things and answer any questions you have.
- What is your understanding of sales and customer service?
Suite Attendant
First, you gotta fill out an application. Then, you just wait for an email. The email will tell you when interviews are available. Pick a time and make sure to send it back. After that, you go in for the interview.
- What's your approach when dealing with an impolite customer?
