It was an in-person interview with a panel of four people. They asked some general intro questions to gauge my overall knowledge in the field. Then they asked about my interests and what I'm looking for in a company. It felt like a pretty easy interview.

If selected, you'll get an email to set up a phone interview. They'll ask basic questions about your management skills, if you can work in all weather, and if you have a company vehicle. If the phone interview goes well, you'll get another email for a video interview via webcam. They'll ask similar questions as the phone interview, plus if you're okay sharing a room with someone and understand you might be away from home for up to a month. They want you to ask questions so you know the job well.

The recruiter called and asked about my current employment status. They mentioned finding my resume and considering me a strong candidate for the role. They seemed quite impressed with my professional background. I was asked to complete an application on the company's website. When I brought up that they had contacted me the previous year for the same position, and that I had gone through all the assessments only to never receive any follow-up, the recruiter's demeanor changed significantly. It's a common occurrence for me; recruiters and hiring managers in utility-related companies often reach out to me without me applying, leading to multiple interviews and assessments, after which I never hear back, despite their assurances that they'll inform me of the decision regardless of the outcome.

I had my first interview with the VP of Contracts. This interview focused on how my education and experience aligned with the job requirements. I was asked to review documents, offer creative suggestions for redesign, and critique them for client-friendliness. The interview lasted about an hour and a half. Afterwards, I was given a tour and introduced to some of the management. I returned a week later for a second interview with the department manager and two team members. It was professional yet relaxed. I answered questions from each interviewer, with responses typically under a minute. While the team seemed positive, there was a bit of unprofessionalism from one interviewer.
