Technical Presentation

The interview process started off well, and then I met with a director of sales. He immediately started asking me questions about Orum, our product, and what objections SDRs might face. He was quite distracting, carrying his computer around his office, which gave me the impression he didn't value my time or care about making a good impression. I really didn't appreciate that. If the tables were turned and I did that during an interview, I wouldn't get another one.

Behavioral Technical

It was a 5 step interview process. I made it to the third step where I spoke with the sales manager. I thought it was going great until she asked about my preparation for this entry level position. I mentioned my online research, but she was expecting me to say I'd read books and listened to SDR podcasts. She then criticized my LinkedIn network, saying I needed 500+ connections, which I found unusual for an entry level role. Because of this, she stated I wouldn't advance past this third stage.

The entire interview process was super smooth and communication was top-notch. I always knew what was next and had a good sense of where I stood. The recruiters were incredibly responsive and sent updates promptly. My interview process was actually sped up to fit a company deadline, so it all happened in about a week, and I got an offer the same day as my last interview.
