I was contacted by Orum’s recruiting team regarding a fully remote Enterprise Account Executive position. The interview process involved an initial screening call, followed by two meetings with the Director of Sales, and then a meeting with the VP of Sales. The final stage was a mock interview with the CEO. Throughout this entire process, I had confirmed that the role was fully remote. However, after completing all stages, the recruiter informed me that the hiring team was now looking for candidates based in either NY or SF. If this is indeed the situation, I feel it was misleading and unfair to reach out for a remote position and then change the requirements at the very end. I also never received direct feedback from the sales team, which was quite disappointing. I would not recommend this experience.

The initial step involved a one-hour conversation with a recruiter. They kicked things off by giving an overview of the Orum product, the company, and what it's like to work there. After that, it moved into a more standard Q&A format. The vibe was really relaxed and conversational, making me feel at ease. I'm still waiting to hear back at this point.

It was a pretty standard interview process, nothing too crazy. First, I talked to a recruiter, then the VP of Sales, and after that, the Sales Director I would have reported to. I had two separate calls with the Sales Director, which really felt like they were genuinely covering all bases. Then came the presentation – it was challenging, but they provided all the necessary background info. The VP of Sales and the Director were really cool and spent about 30 minutes after the presentation giving feedback and just chatting, so I'd plan for that to run a bit longer. After that, I had a 45-minute chat with the CEO, followed by a final call with another Sales Director that seemed more like a vibe check. The whole thing took about a month from the first recruiter call to getting the offer.
