First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Orlans.
Foreclosure Specialist
I was contacted by HR about my resume, which a friend at the company had passed along. She asked some general questions about my experience and what I was looking for. After I answered, she set up a phone interview for the next day. This interview focused on what I could contribute and my future goals. The interviewers seemed really engaged. They liked the outcome and invited me for an in-person meeting a few days later. Two supervisors met with me, asked some questions, and gave me a skills test. We then talked about where I'd be most useful and compensation, and I was shown out.
- What is the appropriate compensation for your services?
- What do you feel you can contribute to the company?
- What do you want to be doing in the future?
Internal Audit Manager
The HR called and asked some basic questions, they were based out of Virginia. The next interview was at the Troy office with the head of the internal audit function, who is also corporate counsel. They don't really have an audit department, but rather professional staff members who will handle the audit programs. I think I did okay on the interview, but I was 8 months pregnant at the time, so I'm guessing that was the reason I didn't get a call back. I suppose it was easier for them to not say 'no' directly, as I would have been going on maternity leave shortly after starting. In the end, I guess it all works out for the best, and after reading reviews for this company, it's probably a good thing I didn't get the offer.
- Can you describe your previous experience with audits and your approach to managing, handling, and executing audit programs?
Opening
I had to come in and write a fake memo about a problem with an employee and a fake company we represent. Take an easy comprehension test, then have an interview with a Supervisor & Manager. It was in the interview they told me that the job I applied for may not be the one they higher me for because they were trying to fill many positions & couldn't give me specifics about any one job.
- What is the minimum salary you would accept?
Marketing
I was interviewed casually over the phone, then brought in for a 1st interview and did a mock write up, then I had to send writing samples, then I had a 2nd interview with two people and a homework assignment, then I heard nothing for MONTHS (despite constant reassurance I'd hear back). Very unprofessional.
- Were you comfortable with what the company does?
