ORIX Interview Questions
& Process

The interview was great and in flow. The questions have been asked are answerable and related to my studies. They provided a situation for me to solve the issue if I will be facing it, and it made me nervous but still manage to answer it as fast as I can.

The overall experience was really bad, I wouldn't suggest going through their interview process. After a few online interviews, I waited a couple weeks for an update on what was next. Then, they asked me to come into the office and meet the team during the workday, which meant I had to take time off from my current job. After another couple weeks, they told me their decision.

The interview process went smoothly. The first stage was with a VP to discuss my CV, deals, and technical aspects. The second stage was with an MD focusing on my experience and fit. The third stage was an in-office modelling test. I didn't make it to the fourth stage even though the modelling test wasn't difficult. Orix didn't provide any detailed feedback. The fourth and final stage was supposed to be a meeting with the CEO.

I applied online and the whole process took about a week. It was in July 2016 in Kuala Lumpur. First, I had to fill out an application form, then complete a personality test. After that, there were four financial ratio calculation questions – just simple calculations, no explanations needed. Finally, I had to write an essay on the opportunities and threats in the Malaysian economy. The interviewer mentioned this was to check my English writing skills since the job involves compiling financial analysis reports. The last part was pretty straightforward: three interviewers interviewed me at the same time. It wasn't difficult, I just had to show I was the right fit for the role by highlighting relevant strengths, like preferring fieldwork and customer acquisition for a marketing role, or strong analytical skills for a credit officer position.
