So I applied for a mid-level position, and after passing the initial technical interview, things got a bit confusing. The manager in round 2 suggested my backend experience might not be enough and asked if I'd be open to a junior role. Then the director in round 3 also leaned towards a junior offer, citing a need for 3-4 years with their specific tech stack, but couldn't pinpoint my weaknesses. I confirmed with the recruiter that I was indeed aiming for mid-level. The recruiter then called back, indicating an offer was likely and asked about salary expectations, almost as if gauging if I'd lower my rate. He then mentioned the role would be 'junior level but upper end, close to mid-level.' Four days later, I got an automated rejection. It's frustrating because they initiated contact, suggested an offer was coming, and then sent an automated rejection after four interviews. Communication with the recruiter was also sparse, only responding when they needed something and ignoring my follow-ups after each interview.

I applied for a role and was later sent an email to schedule a Teams meeting. Then, I got a generic rejection email. Since I applied to two positions, I think the rejection was for the other role. The meeting was never cancelled and I got no follow-up from the recruiter. Based on what I've read in other reviews, this seems typical for the company. I guess I dodged a bullet.

The first interview was online, and then we had an in-person meeting. The managers were very friendly and positive. They talked about how they do team constructive feedback by listening to calls, and they have friendly competitions for fun and in-depth training. They mentioned the hardest part of the job is remembering all the dates and data, but they now have materials that can be accessed quickly for guidance.

Started with a Teams meeting, which was supposed to be a phone call. The recruiter told me the salary, which was too low, so we ended it. Then the recruiter texted saying the VP would pay more for someone with my skills, so we had the screening call. A few days later, I met with the VP and senior manager on Teams for about an hour. We talked about salary again and they said they'd let me know. The next week, they invited me to Florida for a final interview, flying me out and putting me up in a hotel. The interview happened the next day, we confirmed salary again, and I got the offer a few hours later at the airport. The offer's salary was way lower than we discussed. I was surprised and tried to negotiate, but they wouldn't budge. It felt off, so I turned down the offer.
