First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Origami Owl.
Art Director
I had 3 interviews in total. First, I talked to the Corporate recruiter. Then, I met with the founder. Lastly, I met with one of the other Art Directors. It was pretty painless, but it took about 2 months total before I was offered the job.
- Tell me about your favorite designer and the reasons behind your choice.
QA Analyst
Standard interview process that I had everyone laughing and smiling. They said they were impressed by my experience. Then I never heard back from them again. Getting a hold of someone is impossible. I was just looking for some feedback. Seems completely unprofessional and rude. I wont be recommending them ever.
- Can you tell me about your previous job?
Designer Care Associate
They asked a lot of questions, but were very nice. The questions were typical for a call center role. I got a callback the next day and was offered the job. I was disappointed with the pay, but took it hoping for an increase later.
- How would you handle a caller who is upset or has escalated their issue?
Graphic Artist
I spoke with the Art Director and then the Creative Director. We looked through my portfolio and chatted. It was a really nice and professional experience. I got an offer from HR super quickly after.
- Tell me about your experience as a designer.
