First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Oriflame.
Associate
I had a really bad time with this company. They called me twice for in-person interviews during the hottest part of summer, and I went to their office both times. I even did this big assignment for them. But then, nothing. No feedback, no update on whether I got the job, not even a rejection email. The worst part is I followed up like 5 times over 2-3 months and still heard nothing back. It’s like, they don’t respect our time or effort at all. At least a simple message would be nice, especially after making us go through several rounds. I hope they think about how they treat people and fix their hiring process.
- Could you describe your day-to-day duties?
CRM
The whole process was odd, the application link didn't work so I was given an email address to apply to. I sent a message with my CV asking if the role was remote. I didn't hear anything until I got an invite to a technical interview. A 'technical' interview followed with a few vague questions, followed by a few questions from the slightly annoyed looking, late to arrive manager. I got a very strange vibe from the interview, like a red flag I couldn't quite put my finger on. This was cemented by a complete lack of response after the interview, just send an email at the very least. Bullet dodged. 0/10 would not recommend.
- Could you describe the size and composition of your current team?
Social Media Manager
There were quite a few steps in the process, at least 4: first, a meeting with HR or a recruitment rep to talk about the job. Then, a meeting with the team manager to go over the responsibilities. After that, a really long psychological and logical test to complete online at home. Finally, one last interview with the head of the larger team.
- Can you share insights into your personality?
- How do you interact and work with colleagues?
- Describe your ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting.
Data Analyst
The hiring process was quite lengthy. It began with an initial call where I was asked general questions like "What is a good manager?" and "What's your expected salary?". Following that, I received a Python coding assignment to complete within a week, which I dedicated significant time to, but received no feedback on. The next step was a technical interview covering a broad range of topics including ML, statistics, and software knowledge. Unfortunately, I was rejected after this stage, and despite emailing to request feedback, none was provided. I feel that feedback is the minimum expected after investing so much effort.
- Can you explain what cross-validation is in the context of Machine Learning?
- Could you list the tools and technologies you are familiar with?
