Technical Behavioral

The interview process started with a technical assessment which went okay. I mentioned that I'm not open to night shifts. The hiring manager seemed to discourage me from continuing multiple times, saying things like 'think about it.' I asked if there was any flexibility with shifts, and she stressed their company culture of teamwork and collaboration, needing to be present for stakeholders. She also mentioned a potential shift to daily RTO. I suspected she was being untruthful to make me back out. I felt the company might have a poor work culture, and it was concerning that the hiring manager lacked multinational company experience. I realized my current company's flexibility, compensation, and benefits were superior, concluding that the grass isn't always greener.

Behavioral Technical

It was a multi-stage interview process, starting with a panel of four people. Then we moved on to discuss more specific product management scenarios. The team was a bit secretive about the company's future, but that's pretty normal. I never heard back from anyone on the team about the outcome, just got an automated rejection email after going through several rounds.

Behavioral Technical

Got an email asking for a good time for a quick phone screen. Emailed back and had a good call, they gave me all the info I needed. Then the official interview was set for a later date, and they were cool about scheduling. During the actual interview, one person couldn't make it last minute, which seemed to throw off the other interviewer. Maybe because of that, there weren't as many questions as I thought, and they asked for my questions around the 30-minute mark (I figured it would be longer). The interviewer also casually mentioned they were actually looking for someone much more senior for a different role, to replace someone who hadn't been there long. I was qualified for the advertised role, but it felt like I was interviewing for a more complex position, which is why I guess I didn't move forward! Seriously, they should define roles better before posting them to make things easier for everyone.
