The hiring process was really slow; it took two months for them to get back to me for an interview. During the interview, one of the interviewers was ten minutes late and had connection issues, which was frustrating. Once that was sorted out, the interview went well, but I was disappointed that one interviewer seemed a bit careless.
- Can you please introduce yourself and share your experiences?
Researcher
I had a phone interview that was totally different from the in-person one. On the phone, the interviewers were nice and said I was qualified, making it seem like the in-person interview was just a formality and I already had the job. They scheduled an in-person interview, and HR would follow up. It took HR two weeks to get back to me, but we set a date. The in-person interview was super long and tiring, with 5 or 6 rounds and over 13 people. I felt treated differently in person compared to the phone call, as if I was being judged on things unrelated to the job. During all the interviews, they asked the same personal questions, not related to the job itself. I felt I didn't get a fair shot to explain my background, skills, and qualifications because they focused on irrelevant questions. I left feeling they didn't want to hire me based on unrelated criteria. I never heard back from them via phone or email. I think a decent company would at least call to say they chose another candidate. It seems like they care more about company reviews than people, as they respond to reviews but don't bother to call about job offers.
- Why are you interested in working at this company
Histotechnician
I had a quick chat with a recruiter on the phone, then a pretty long interview that lasted about four hours. It involved a bunch of different panels and two one-on-one chats. The people I met seemed nice enough, though they didn't always seem super prepared with their questions. They really seemed to care about the work environment and how people work together. I thought it went pretty well, but I never heard back either way.
- What's prompting your job search away from your current company?
Scientist
I got contacted by a recruiter and we had a 20-minute phone chat. They seemed really nice and wanted to know about my skills in tissue engineering, how I manage things, and my past jobs.
- Can you tell me about your expertise in 3D bioprinting?
