The interview process was long, taking about 3 months from the initial recruiter call to the final onsite interview. There were significant gaps between phone interviews, sometimes over two weeks. Although it was described as an entry-level role, the experience and education requirements seemed to contradict this, suggesting they were looking for candidates who met all the stated criteria. During the onsite visit, after a tour, the first interview started 20 minutes late. Many interviewers appeared distracted, frequently using their phones or computers during the meetings, which didn't foster a sense of a learning culture regarding team building. Some interviewers read questions verbatim from a list and took notes, making the interactions feel transactional. Others engaged in more open conversations, including healthy debates on food production, education, and availability. The HR contact on-site was very helpful and informed me about reimbursements for hotel, mileage, and gas, meaning I would only lose my time. I received a benefits packet upon arrival detailing offerings like an on-site cafeteria and health insurance costs. The campus is attractive and well-designed, but its rural location, in a town of 1,000 people with La Crosse being a 30-40 minute drive away, might be a drawback for those not comfortable living in a very remote area.

This company's interview process takes ages. It was months from applying to getting a callback. They called me super late at night to schedule an interview, which was odd. The interview had the hiring manager, their boss, and HR. The worst part was they told me mid-interview I wasn't getting the job! I had to keep it together after that. It's crazy to interview someone when you already know you won't hire them. Then they asked if I had questions. I didn't, since there was no way I was getting the job! I've never had such a terrible interview experience in my career.

First passed through two phone screens before going on-site for in-person interviews. Met with several employees individually, from demand planning managers up to and including the COO. Everyone there was friendly though virtually everyone I met with seemed skeptical that I (or anyone) would move to LaCrosse though I personally thought it seemed like a pretty cool place with a bit of a college-town vibe.

Applied online and my resume was good enough to get a phone screening. Had a one-hour phone interview and the HR person was really impressed. They told me to wait for the next steps and after two weeks I got an email to schedule the next round. They sent a video call link for a team interview. Right now, I'm waiting for their next email, hoping for a positive reply.
