Marketing
I was reached out to on LinkedIn for a Marketing role. The process started with a 15 min recruiter call, then a Head of call, followed by a take-home task. After that, there was a talk-through call with the Head-Of, and then a VP call. Finally, they extended an offer. All the interviews, including the initial recruiter screening, were done virtually.

Music Copyright Specialist
I was really excited to interview with Orfium and went through multiple interview rounds. However, my overall experience with their hiring process was pretty disappointing. After putting in a lot of time to prepare and meeting with several people on the team, I never got the feedback I was promised. My follow-up messages were ignored for weeks, and in the end, they just ghosted me without any explanation. It's surprising because Orfium is known for being professional and innovative in the music industry, but this lack of communication and respect for candidates was a letdown. Even a quick message to let me know where things stood would have been polite and responsible. I hope Orfium improves the clarity and professionalism of their hiring process in the future. The mission and the innovative work in music rights were interesting, but the recruiting team was unresponsive, didn't follow through, and communicated poorly with candidates. They also seemed to misunderstand what kind of background and skills were actually needed for the role, especially regarding practical music business experience and connecting with musicians and rights-holders. Even though I had directly relevant experience, the hiring team didn't seem to fully grasp how it fit the position's requirements.

Engineering Manager
The interview process was really clear and organized, they told me exactly what to expect and got back to me quickly. It all went super smooth. They were looking for two main things: 1. If I'd fit the culture and 2. My skills and past experience. All the interviewers made me feel really comfortable and gave me plenty of room to talk about myself. They asked a bunch of questions to make sure I was a good match, but it didn't feel pressured at all. They explained everything about the culture, how they work, what they expect, and the pay and benefits, and were happy to chat about any questions even after the interviews. I talked to HR, my direct manager, a fellow engineer, and the CTO, which was awesome because I got to meet the team and everyone was super helpful answering all my questions until I understood everything. Seriously, it was a great experience!
